Wick It Candle Bar was established in early 2023 by former corporate leader turned entrepreneur, Danica Hartenfels. She saw a niche that was missing in her community in the Pocono Mountains, PA where people can come together and curate their own eco-friendly premium soy wax candles.
Our mission is to bring people together to make a candle, make a memory and make a new friend all while bringing the community together.
Wick It Candle Bar’s candles are clean burning, have a low carbon footprint, offer clean scents that are phthalate free, and use cotton wicks all of which make these candles environmentally safe and animal and children-friendly to burn in your home!
Every Wick It candle is made with 100% soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. Non-toxic, pet-safe, and kid-safe — because what you burn in your home matters.
Philanthropy is built into our business. From fundraisers to community events, a portion of every sale goes back to the people and places that make the Poconos home.

I founded Wick It in early 2023 because I saw a need in my community. Not just for beautiful, clean candles — but for connection. Every class, every event, and every candle poured is an invitation to lean into your creativity, have fun with the people you love, and make a memory that lasts long after the last burn.
Every candle we make is crafted with premium soy wax, clean phthalate-free scents, and 100% cotton wicks — because what you bring into your home should be as good for you as it feels. We proudly retail and wholesale candles nationwide and host candle-making experiences across the Poconos and tri-state area.
Outside of Wick It, giving back is just part of who I am. I serve as VP of the East Stroudsburg University Alumni Board, Board Director for Family Promise of the Poconos, and am a proud Rotarian with Stroudsburg's Rotary Club. When I'm not pouring candles or serving my community, you'll find me on the golf course, with my family and friends, or with my dog Harper. ♥
